Breaking new ground in the contemporary Brussels jazz scene, Mr. Pinky presents original compositions blending modal, modern, and fusion styles. Featuring Ibon Oinatz on guitar, Eduardo Yágüez on flute and saxophone, John Dimartino on drums, and Francesco Marchetti on double bass, the group unites international perspectives and musical expertise. Inspired by artists like Aaron Parks, Shai Maestro, and Radiohead, they fuse jazz with alt-rock elements, crafting a sound that transitions seamlessly from minimalism to hypnotic grooves and trance-like shifts. Formed in 2021 during their master’s studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel (KCB), Mr. Pinky has performed at venues such as The Music Village, De Muze, and Muntpunt. Their debut album is slated for recording in early 2025.
